EastEnders clung on to its position as the most popular soap on Thursday evening, according to overnight viewing data.
BBC One's flagship drama appealed to 7.75m (34.3%) from 7.30pm, as Ian left Mandy stunned by popping the question. A further 600k (3%) saw BBC Three's repeat screening from 10pm.
Coronation Street averaged 7.33m (29.7%) for ITV1 from 9pm, as Eileen demanded answers from Paul after Marcus spilled the beans. An additional 220k (1%) watched the episode on ITV1+1.
Emmerdale grabbed 6.92m (32.1%) on ITV1 from 7pm as Rachel's sister Ali made an immediate impact after she moved into the village. The rural soap pulled in 6.72m (28.2%) on ITV1 from 8pm and 300k (1.3%) on +1 as Amy finally told Belle who is the father of her baby.
Elsewhere, Hollyoaks had 1.11m (5.5%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm. E4's first look at the next episode appealed to 559k (2.6%) from 7pm and 135k (0.6%) on +1.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.56m (21.7%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 715k (9.9%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.18m (7.3%) from 5.30pm.
Home And Away appealed to 857k (4.6%) on Channel 5 from 6pm, and 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 476k (2.3%) from 6.30pm.
