Ratings: Laurel, Marlon fallout rouses 6.9m on 'Emmerdale'

Emmerdale again ruled Wednesday evening as Sandy accused Laurel of having an affair with Marlon, according to the latest audience data.

ITV1's rural drama averaged 6.93m (31.9%) from 7pm and 148k (0.6%) on timeshift for Laurel's rage at Sandy after he labelled her a cheat.

Waterloo Road educated 4.64m (20.6%) on BBC One from 7.30pm for Jez's rage when Madi was mugged on the way into school.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks appealed to 1.32m (6.4%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm and 127k (0.6%) on +1. E4's first look at the next episode continued to perform strongly, with 741k (3.4%) watching from 7pm and 200k (0.9%) on +1.

Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.6m (23.5%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 795k (11.6%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.26m (8.1%) from 5.30pm.

Home And Away delighted 926k (5.1%) on Channel 5 from 6pm, and 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 515k (2.5%) from 6.30pm.
