EastEnders stayed above 8m viewers on Tuesday evening, while Hollyoaks again benefited from the wedding aftermath, the latest audience data has revealed.
The BBC One soap was seen by 8.19m (36.9%) from 7.30pm, as Syed broke his promise to Christian by spending time with Amira and baby Yasmin. The repeat screening fetched 721k (3.8%) on BBC Three from 10pm.
E4's first look episode of Hollyoaks once more performed well, pulling in 701k (3.4%) from 7pm. The soap's main showing on Channel 4 attracted 1.18m (5.9%) from 6.30pm and 120k (0.5%) on +1.
On Emmerdale, Sandy's shock at seeing Laurel and Marlon together was seen by 6.78m (32.5%) on ITV1 from 7.30pm and 113k (0.5%) on +1.
BBC One's Holby City grabbed 5.37m (23.6%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Keep On Keeping On', featuring Hanssen facing the consequences of the plastics scandal.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.67m (23.4%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 670k (9.3%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.19m (7.6%) from 5.30pm.
Home And Away managed 816k (4.6%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 486k (2.4%).
