Coronation Street failed to break the 8m mark last night, according to the latest overnight data.
Despite grabbing over 9m on Monday as Frank raped Carla, the Weatherfield soap's popularity dwindled as the week went on.
As the pair came face-to-face again, 7.46m (36.8%) watched at 7.30pm (+1: 155k), then Frank's nasty accusation was seen by 7.67m (33.6%) at 8.30pm (+1: 198k).
Ben and Duncan's kiss in EastEnders pulled in 7.05m (32.6%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 593k (3%).
Meanwhile, Emmerdale logged 6.27m (33.3%) at 7pm (+1: 134k) as Amy's pregnancy storyline took a further twist.
Elsewhere, Jacqui's meltdown in Hollyoaks attracted 987k (5.8%) at 6.30pm, after which E4's first look fetched 392k (2.1%).
Neighbours took 634k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 1.01m (7.4%) at 5.30pm, while the lunchtime edition of Doctors averaged 1.29m (20.2%).
Home and Away managed 750k (4.7%) as Bianca's attacker was revealed at 6.30pm, then 5*'s first look had 402k (2.3%).
