The aftermath of Tyler's tragic boxing match helped EastEnders remain the most popular soap on Thursday evening, according to overnight viewing data.
EastEnders appealed to 8.33m (39.4%) on BBC One from 7.30pm, as tests showed that Tyler had bleeding between his skull and his brain. A further 706k (3.7%) saw BBC Three's repeat screening from 10pm.
Coronation Street averaged 7.24m (30.3%) for ITV1 from 8.30pm, as Steve decided to face up to his responsibilities. An additional 194k (0.9%) watched the episode on ITV1+1.
Rural soap Emmerdale grabbed 6.29m (32.8%) on ITV1 from 7pm, as Aaron collapsed while chasing Sean when he stole from the garage. Aaron's continued self-harming while his loved ones remained clueless was seen by 6.46m (28.9%) on ITV1 from 8pm and 206k (0.9%) on +1
Elsewhere, Hollyoaks had 1.08m (6.1%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm and 140k (0.7%) on +1. E4's first look at the next episode appealed to 585k (3%) from 7pm.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.38m (22.8%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 587k (9.6%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.1m (8.1%) from 5.30pm.
Home and Away appealed to 719k (4.5%) on Channel 5 from 6pm, and 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 415k (2.3%) from 6.30pm.
