EastEnders remained the most popular soap on Thursday evening with more drama for Vanessa, according to overnight viewing data.
The BBC One soap appealed to 7.55m (36.5%) from 7.30pm, as Vanessa realised that Michael wanted Tyler to get seriously hurt in the fight. A further 825k (4.1%) saw BBC Three's repeat screening from 10pm.
Coronation Street averaged 6.85m (28%) for ITV1 from 9pm, as Carla wondered whether to tell the truth about the crash to Stella's family. An additional 186k (0.9%) watched the episode on ITV1+1.
Rural soap Emmerdale grabbed 6.68m (34.3%) on ITV1 from 7pm and 218k (1%) on +1, as Charity and Jai's engagement party turned sour after Declan dropped off Katie.
Elsewhere, Hollyoaks had 990k (5.4%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm and 150k (0.7%) on +1. E4's first look at the next episode appealed to 452k (2.3%) from 7pm. The new series of spinoff show Hollyoaks Later had 392k (2.2%) on E4 from 10pm and 148k (1.6%) on timeshift.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.67m (23.3%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 683k (9.4%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.04m (7.4%) from 5.30pm.
Home and Away appealed to 754k (4.6%) on Channel 5 from 6pm, and 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 355k (1.9%) from 6.30pm.
