Ratings: 'Emmerdale' nabs 6.3m with more strife for Ella

More drama for Ella on Emmerdale kept the rural soap above 6m viewers on Wednesday night, according to the latest audience data.



Emmerdale averaged 6.35m (33.5%) from 7pm for ITV1, as Ella faced fresh rejection when she made a romantic move on Jai.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks fetched 1.04m (5.8%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm and 126k (0.7%) on +1, before E4's first look at the next episode had 537k (2.8%) from 7pm.

Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.51m (20.3%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 657k (8.9%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 928k (6.7%) from 5.30pm.
