Emmerdale's audience decreased last night despite the departure of Leyla, early viewing figures indicate.
As her storyline alongside Alicia, David and son Jacob reached its conclusion, 5.7m (34.2%) watched at 7pm - one of the serial's worst Friday evening performances in the last two years.
Coronation Street was the most-watched serial as a barmy double-bill centred around Steve, Becky and Nick brought in 7.08m (38.2%) at 7.30pm and 7.29m (34.8%) at 8.30pm (+1: 166k).
EastEnders pulled in 6.77m (34.1%) for Julie's emotional farewell, while Hollyoaks nabbed 843k (5.4%) and a further 377k for (2.3%) for E4's first look.
Elsewhere, Neighbours fetched 559k (8.3%), while Doctors averaged 1.4m (21%) for an episode titled 'Footsteps'.
