Coronation Street was the most-watched programme on Friday (May 8) with the latest developments in David and Callum's storyline, overnight figures show.
6.56m (34.5%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV as David's problems got worse when he lost Max in Liverpool. 6.32m (30.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 141k (0.7%) on +1 as Callum's arrival forced David to face the music.
EastEnders pulled in an identical rating to Thursday, once again claiming 6.12m (30.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Dot's trial began. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 417k (2.4%) at 10pm.
Unusually, Emmerdale's Friday outing was its highest-rated of the week, attracting 5.7m (31.3%) at 7pm on ITV with the aftermath of Laurel's latest big mistake.
Hollyoaks grabbed 691k (4.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dr S'avage was revealed as a fraud, while E4's first look topped the multichannels with 542k (3.0%) at 7pm.
Neighbours appealed to 615k (8.2%) at 1.45pm and 740k (5.2%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as time began to run out for Nick's scheming.
Elsewhere, Doctors held onto 641k (8.6%) at 1.45pm while airing on BBC Two due to the election coverage.
