EastEnders attracted 5.68m (29.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Linda received bad news about the case against Dean, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 299k (2.1%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.25m (31.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 105k (0.5%) on +1 as Donny was attacked.
Hollyoaks bagged its best Friday figure since February as 839k (5.5%) saw Cameron confront Ziggy and Tegan at 6.30pm on Channel 4, while E4's first look followed with 541k (3.3%) at 7pm.
Neighbours claimed 517k (8.6%) at 1.45pm and 703k (5.7%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 with Tyler's latest troubles.
Home and Away mustered 188k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 504k (3.6%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 405k (2.7%) at 6.30pm.
