6.84m (33.6%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 159k (0.7%) on +1 as Anna and Owen finally discovered Faye's secret as they found her in labour at the Corner Shop flat, while the audience increased to 7.14m (31.9%) at 8.30pm and 269k (1.3%) on +1 as Faye gave birth to a baby girl. The 8.30pm episode was Corrie's best Friday performance in over a month.
EastEnders continued with 6.06m (29.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Kat made a suicide attempt. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 310k (2.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.49m (28.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 137k (0.7%) on +1 as Laurel stooped to new lows to cover her tracks.
Hollyoaks managed 730k (4.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Darren's guilt over Cindy's attack, while E4's first look followed with 492k (2.6%) at 7pm.
Nick's dastardly plan in Neighbours was seen by 546k (5.9%) at the earlier time of 1.15pm on Channel 5, while 701k (4.5%) caught the teatime screening at 5.30pm.
Home and Away's earlier lunchtime outing had 212k (2.3%) at 12.45pm on Channel 5, while 503k (3.0%) watched at 6pm and 314k (1.7%) chose 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
