Coronation Street topped Wednesday evening's soap ratings (April 1) as Faye went into labour, overnight figures show.
Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, attracting 6.94m (35.8%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 158k (0.8%) on +1 as Faye was horrified to realise that her baby was coming early.
Emmerdale claimed 5.95m (33.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 137k (0.7%) on +1 as Vanessa and Adam regretted their one-night stand.
Hollyoaks brought in 956k (5.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sienna hatched her next scheme, while E4's first look followed with 547k (3.1%) at 7pm and 162k (0.8%) on +1.
Neighbours interested 663k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 793k (5.6%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Daniel ended up trapped down a well with Imogen on the day of his wedding to Amber.
Home and Away entertained 207k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 641k (4.1%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 415k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
