Coronation Street topped Friday's soap ratings (May 2) as Maddie Heath caused more trouble, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 7.17m (37.2%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 126k (0.6%) on +1 as Maddie took the desperate step of snatching her brother Ben. 6.57m (30.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 204k (1.0%) on +1 to see Sophie and Maddie both arrested when the police came calling.
EastEnders was level with the second Corrie, also attracting 6.57m (32.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Carol's health took another turn for the worse. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 374k (2.4%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.65m (32.0%) at 7pm on ITV as Val's new romance ended in disaster, adding 118k (0.6%) on +1.
Hollyoaks claimed 876k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the latest twists in the Patrick and Maxine storyline, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 748k (4.2%) at 7pm and 115k (0.6%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 545k (8.1%) at 1.45pm and 752k (5.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away appealed to 189k (2.9%) at 1.15pm, 556k (3.7%) at 6pm and 353k (2.1%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.19m (17.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
