EastEnders came out on top in Tuesday's soap ratings, according to overnight data.

Stan's arrival at the Vic attracted 6.46 million viewers (31.7%) at 7.30pm on BBC One while going up against the football on ITV. The BBC Three repeat was seen by 420,000 (3.0%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale continued with 6.19m (33.8%) at 7pm (114k/0.5% on +1) as Belle was released on bail on ITV.

BBC One's Holby City brought in 4.37m (19.1%) at 8pm as viewers saw the shock exit of Bonnie Wallis. Earlier, Doctors continued with 1.35m (23.0%) at 1.45pm.

On Channel 4, Hollyoaks gathered 1.07m (6.4%) at 6.30pm as Sinead discovered that baby Katy had died. E4's first-look appealed to 863k (4.7%) at 7pm (161k/0.7%).

Channel 5's Neighbours interested 559k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 865k (6.7%) at 5.30pm.

Home and Away attracted 192k (2.9%) at 1.15pm and 592k (3.9%) at 6pm. 5*'s first-look was seen by 442k (2.7%) at 6.30pm.
