7.36m (36.7%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 201k (0.9%) on +1 as Gary broke into Phelan's house to steal the evidence that the villain has been blackmailing him with. 6.45m (29.3%) returned at 8.30pm and 249k (1.3%) on +1 as Owen stepped in to stop Gary from making a big mistake.
EastEnders beat the second Corrie on first-run showings, bringing in 6.6m (31.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as Mick was attacked by an unknown figure when visiting his father's home.
Emmerdale attracted 5.87m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 147k (0.7%) on +1 as Belle had to deal with the consequences of her confession.
Hollyoaks interested 996k (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 105k (0.5%) on +1 as Sinead's baby daughter Katy was rushed to hospital again. E4's first look was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day with 689k (3.7%) at 7pm and 109k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 606k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 687k (4.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away continued with 216k (3.2%) at 1.15pm, 552k (3.4%) at 6pm and 421k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.43m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
