EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's soap ratings (January 21) with the fallout from Lauren and Jake's affair, overnight figures show.
7.74m (34.7%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Jake's behaviour took a manic turn as he faced the consequences of his actions. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 308k (2.1%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale also performed well as the ongoing aftermath of Rachel's exit interested 7m (33.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 201k (0.9%) on +1.
Holby City had a strong 5.22m (22.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as the Jac and Jonny storyline continued.
Hollyoaks appealed to 968k (4.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dodger learned of Patrick's deception over Sophie, while E4's first look followed with 664k (3.1%) at 7pm and 242k (1.1%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 704k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 929k (5.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 262k (3.6%) at 1.15pm, 646k (3.4%) at 6pm and 451k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.72m (23.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
