EastEnders was back ahead of Emmerdale on Tuesday night

EastEnders topped Tuesday's soap ratings (August 27) as the camping trip dramas continued, overnight figures show.

6.6m (35.0%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as a shock robbery left Dexter in a panic. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 495k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale appealed to 6.38m (36.7%) at 7pm on ITV as Rhona hit rock bottom, adding 174k (0.8%) on +1.

Holby City managed 4.32m (19.1%) at 8pm on BBC One as Chrissie's illness storyline continued.

Hollyoaks entertained 834k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dennis fought to fix things with Leanne, while E4's first look had 488k (2.8%) at 7pm and 187k (0.8%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Vanessa's surprise pregnancy in Neighbours brought in 585k (9.0%) at 1.45pm and 767k (6.7%) at 5.30pm, while another classic airing of Home and Away on 5* interested 52k (0.3%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.17m (18.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
