Hollyoaks put in another strong performance on E4 on Wednesday evening (August 22) as the boost from the Lynsey 'whodunit' plot climax continued, overnight figures show.
512k (2.9%) watched at 7pm on E4 and 191k (1.0%) on +1 as the recent news of Browning's guilt pushed Riley to make a big decision regarding Mitzeee, keeping the combined audience above the 700k mark.
Earlier, the soap's Channel 4 airing pulled in 704k (4.1%) at 6.30pm and 134k (0.7%) on timeshift.
Emmerdale was the most-watched soap of the day, attracting 5.88m (33.0%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 302k (1.6%) on +1 as the tensions at Home Farm continued.
After Emmerdale, 3.56m (20.0%) tuned in for a repeat of The Corrie Years at 7.30pm, with a further 110k (0.5%) watching an hour later.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 657k (9.3%) at 1.45pm and 945k (7.4%) at 5.30pm, while more classic Home and Away episodes on 5* entertained 148k (1.0%) and 142k (0.8%) at 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'The Frighteners' - was seen by 1.22m (17.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
