Emmerdale was boosted by Laurel's suspicions over Ashley's behaviour last night (April 18), overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 6.87m (33.4%) at 7pm and 205k (0.9%) on timeshift as Laurel finally realised that all was not well between Ashley and his father Sandy. Including +1, the ITV1 soap was up 530k week-on-week.
Waterloo Road, meanwhile, attracted 4.41m (18.4%) at 8pm for its penultimate episode set in Rochdale.
Hollyoaks appealed to 1.13m (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 140k (0.7%) on +1 with the resolution to the college's fire drama, while 544k (2.6%) watched E4's first look at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 731k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 1.02m (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 708k (4.0%) at 6pm and 464k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'A Good Boy' - was seen by 1.69m (22.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
