'Dancing On Ice' dominates primetime

More celebrity eliminations on Dancing On Ice helped the show to comfortably dominate primetime on Sunday night, according to the latest audience data.



The main Dancing On Ice programme averaged 8.93m (33.2%) for ITV1 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, peaking at 9.81m (34.8%) for the final 15 minutes.

Dancing On Ice: The Skate-Off, which saw Ellen Rivas and Craig McLachlan become the latest celebrities to be eliminated from the show, pulled in 7.53m (29.8%) from 9.30pm.

In a strong night for ITV1, Wild At Heart entertained 7.84m (28.9%) between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Later, That Sunday Night Show had 3.16m (15.6%) from 10.15pm.

On BBC One, Antiques Roadshow brought in 5.94m (24.5%) in the 6pm hour, before Countryfile managed 6.6m (24.6%). Lark Rise to Candleford mustered 6.57m (23.5%) in the 8pm hour, and then detective series Zen grabbed 4.39m (17.4%) from 9pm.

Over at BBC Two, James May's Toy Stories entertained 1.27m (4.7%) from 7.15pm. Live coverage of snooker's The Masters captivated 1.56m (6.3%) between 8.15pm and 11pm.

An extended Jamie's Fish Suppers cooked up 1.56m (5.6%) on Channel 4 in the 8pm hour and 149k (0.6%) on +1. Gordon Ramsey's Shark Bait had 2.06m (7.9%) from 9pm and 266k (1.3%) on timeshift. Comic's Choice: Alan Davies amused 990k (4.9%) from 10pm and 84k (0.8%) an hour later.

Screenings of Are We There Yet? and Bad Boys II brought in respective audiences of 817k (3%) and 1.08m (5.4%) on Channel 5 from 7pm.

Overall, ITV1 won primetime with 29.4% against BBC One's 21.3%. BBC Two came in third with 5.9%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.4% (+1: 0.7%) and Channel 5 with 3.7%.

Elsewhere, Sky1's talent show Got To Dance continued to perform well, attracting consecutive audiences of 926k (3.8%) and 817k (3%) between 6pm and 8pm.
