After Crashing Into Influencer Outside London Club



A UK influencer has been charged with attempted murder after crashing her car into another influencer outside a club in London’s Soho entertainment district.

Former The X Factor finalist Gabrielle Carrington, who goes under the handle of rielleuk on Instagram, hit Klaudia Zakrzewska in the early hours of Sunday morning. Zakrzewska, who is known as Klaudiaglam on social media channels, ended up under the vehicle.

London’s Metropolitan police said in a statement on Monday evening that Zakrzewska is in a hospital in a “life-threatening” condition, while a man in his 50s had sustained life-changing injuries and a third woman was treated for minor injuries.

The statement said Carrington has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving and drunk driving.

Officers were first called to Argyll Street in Soho at around 4:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, following reports that a car had been involved in a collision with pedestrians, initially stoking fears of a terror attack.

Carrington found fame on The X Factor in 2013 as a member of the girl group Miss Dynamix which made it into the finals.

In more recent years, Carrington has built a career as an influencer, while in 2019 she had a small role in Rapman’s urban crime drama Blue Story.

Carrington has been remanded in custody ahead of her first appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 21 April.

The police said the incident was not being treated as terrorism-related.
