Strictly Come Dancing has aired the fourth elimination of the series, as football manager and former player Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink exited the competition. Jimmy and his professional partner Lauren Oakley landed in this week's Bottom Two, alongside Love Island's Amber Davies and pro Nikita Kuzmin.

In tonight's result show, each couple had to perform their routines again during the dance-off, before the judges voted to save their favourites. For Amber and Nikita, this meant dancing their Cha Cha Cha to Ariana Grande's 'Break Free', while Jimmy and Lauren showcased their American Smooth to Prince's 'Purple Rain'.

The judges' votes resulted in a unanimous decision with Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood all choosing to save Amber and Nikita. Meanwhile, Anton Du Beke revealed he would've also used his deciding vote to save Amber.

Jimmy's elimination marked a disappointing end to his Strictly journey, after having achieved his highest score of the competition on Saturday's live show. The former footballer shared that he was hoping to improve his performance during the dance-off.

"The only thing you can do is dance as best as you can and then it's up to the public. I was actually quite happy to dance again because I wanted to do better than my previous one," Jimmy said.

He continued: "I have absolutely loved my experience. I can only say thank you very much for letting me have this experience and to my daughters for pushing me to come here and do this. I never expected that I would enjoy it this much."

Jimmy thanked the Strictly cast and crew, who he described as "absolutely magnificent". He went on to praise his dance partner Lauren, adding: "She is just absolutely incredible. She has been absolutely amazing with me. You are a diamond."

Meanwhile, Lauren shared that she was "gutted" that her time teaching Jimmy had come to an end. "We have had the best time and I am so proud of how far he has come. And it proves that anyone can be a dancer if you put your mind to it," she said.

"He's a footballer! And he just danced like that. We've had the best time and I'm just so proud and I feel honoured to have been able to teach you. You've been an amazing student.'"

The competition will continue next Saturday (1 November) for a Halloween special, followed by Sunday's terrifying results show.
