The X Factor's Wagner Carrilho has been reportedly summoned by welfare officers because it is believed he is incorrectly claiming incapacity benefit.

The Brazilian singer has apparently been receiving payouts - currently £91.40 per week - for a frozen shoulder condition.

Carrilho has now been summoned in writing to attend an urgent reassessment meeting at a local JobCentre.

A source at the Department for Work and Pensions told The Sun: "The process has been somewhat speeded up after The Sun pointed out Wagner has been very active - and for the entire nation to see that on the telly."

It has been claimed that doctors who investigated Carrilho's case say he 'wouldn't be able to lift his arm' if he indeed had a frozen shoulder.

We can only assume that no one who works for the DWP ever watches the show or this alleged fraud would have been investigated long before the Sun mentioned it?
