With a new twist...

Dancing on Ice 2025 has aired the return of the skate-off format, following three weeks of instant eliminations.

Tonight's episode saw the first skate-off of the series with Anton Ferdinand and Chris Taylor in the bottom two, after receiving the fewest combined votes and scores.

In another twist, the couples had to perform their earlier dances from the night again, rather than learning a whole new routine for the skate-off as in previous series.

"If there was a mistake, they get a chance to do it again, better," explained Judge Christopher Dean. "And whatever we have to say [after the first performance], they might take that on board and put that out there as well."

"Will they rise or will they crumble?" added Judge Oti Mabuse.

After seven incredible performances, it was announced that Anton and Annette Dytrt would be battling against Chris and Robin Johnstone for a chance to remain in the competition.

Anton once again performed 'Livin' la Vida Loca' by Ricky Martin, before Chris skated to 'golden hour' by JVKE.

Then it was over to the judges who unanimously voted to save Anton, meaning Chris was the fourth contestant to be eliminated from the show

Reflecting on his skating journey, the Love Island star joked: "To be honest, I shouldn't have feng shui-ed my caravan today. I got complacent!"

Elsewhere in the episode, Dan Edgar performed this year's first Headbanger move with partner Vanessa James, landing the duo at the top of the leaderboard with 38 points. The competition continues next week (February 16) in a special '80s themed episode.
