Meet the class of 2025
Dancing on Ice 2025 returns to screens this weekend, with a whole new host of celebrities set to take to the ice.
Holly Willoughby is back and hosting proceedings alongside Stephen Mulhern, who officially replaced Phillip Schofield in last year's show.
Hoping to achieve skating success are Love Island star Chris Taylor and TOWIE stars Dan Edgar and Ferne McCann plus a number of soap stars including Coronation Street's Sam Aston, EastEnders star Charlie Brooks and Hollyoaks' Chelsee Healey. Rounding out the the line-up is Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave, former footballer Anton Ferdinand, comedian Josh Jones, Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan and The Traitors finalist Mollie Pearce.
Talking at the time of his announcement, Dan admitted: "I'm looking forward to it, but the thought of the live shows and performing is very real.
"I like to think I can ice skate a little bit, but I'm a terrible dancer, so that bit is going to need some work."
"I skated when I was a kid and with mulled wine at Christmas," Charlie told the Loose Women panel during her unveiling back in October.
"Until I get on the ice, I have no idea how I'm going to be. I'm not that strong. I'm not competitive, but it might come out in me and I want to have fun and not get injured."
Unveiled as a 2025 contestant on This Morning in October, Sam told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary: "I'm nervous but excited to get going. It's going to be nice for the public to see me for me rather than Chesney."
The Olympic legend previously revealed: "There are all these people trying to persuade me now to do it, I can’t dance, I can’t skate, why am I doing this show? I’ve got no idea at all."
The former QPR footballer shared news of his participation on social media, excitedly revealing: "So far out my comfort zone but I’m here for it!! Let’s gooooooooo."
"I decided to sign up for the show because it's a challenge first and foremost. I'm in a new phase of my life since retiring from football and one of the things I've missed about playing is the structure it gives you," he said.
"Dancing On Ice will give me that focus, but I'm also doing it for my daughter because she loves dance and performing arts. My son always had my football to shout about so this will give my daughter and me something to share."
Chelsee has been "good to go" since October when she was unveiled as one of the celebrities in the 2025 series.
"I've got a bit of rhythm, but skating on ice is completely different. I'm excited," she said. "I'm most excited for the live shows. Getting to perform live every week will give me a buzz. I can't wait for the live shows."
Unveiled on Good Morning Britain in October as the very first celebrity, Ferne said: "I'm so excited. It's going to be a huge challenge but I'm excited for the glitz and glamour of the show."
Viewers will know Mollie best for being a finalist in the second series of BBC murder-mystery show The Traitors, which aired in January last year.
"It will be fun, I want to challenge myself, I'm ready for the challenge," the reality TV star said.
Comedian Josh Jones' hasn't got the best track record on the ice.
"I've not got any skating experience whatsoever," he said at the time of his unveiling. "I did it once for a date years ago, and I wasn't very good. I was holding onto the railings the entire time, and we aren't together now."
The Springwatch presenter has always been a 'yes' person and didn't hesitate to sign up for the 2025 series.
"It's going to be a big challenge," she said. "The last time I was on ice was four years ago when I took the kids. I'm not one of those people who holds onto the sides, I guess, because I was trained as a dancer, I've got a bit of balance."
Chris of Love Island and Love Island: All Stars is feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement ahead of his skating debut.
"I'm somewhere between absolutely terrified and very excited, and I keep flitting between the two quite aggressively throughout the day," he said at the time of his announcement.
"I can skate, but my dad's got the snake hips. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit that genetically from him."
