Medics assist Gillian McKeith over jungle tick

Medics are heading into Camp Sheila on I'm A Celebrity because Gillian McKeith has a tick on her neck.



The show's official website revealed earlier today that the TV nutritionist has a blood-sucking parasite growing on the nape of her neck.

She will have the tick removed by Medic Bob using a tick corkscrew. The procedure is apparently very painful because of the arachnid's fangs and the size of the ticks, which are apparently ten times bigger than European versions.

McKeith and Shaun Ryder will battle it out in a School Dinners bushtucker trial tonight, wherein they will aim to win food for their respective camps by eating various gruesome dishes served up by Ant & Dec.
