Craig finally dusted off his 10 paddle

Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri and her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec have landed the first perfect 40 score of the 2024 series, with judge Craig Revel Horwood finally dusting off his 10 paddle.

The duo have continually come close to securing a perfect score throughout the series, with the pair scoring 39 points on three separate occasions.

This finally changed on Saturday (November 23), with Craig, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke all awarding Tasha and Aljaž maximum points for their American Smooth, granting them the first 40 of the series.

The feat drew wide praise on social media, with one fan writing on X/Twitter: "I'm absolutely sobbing at tasha getting a 40, she's such a lovely and inspiring woman!! she deserves so much love and her partnership with aljaz is so special".

Although they achieved the first perfect score of the series, it wasn't enough for Tasha and Aljaž to have sole ownership of the top of the leaderboard, with JB Gill and Lauren Oakley joining the pair at the summit after they triumphed in the Sambathon.
