X Factor finalist Wagner Carrilho allegedly attempted to get a female worker sacked from the show after she rejected his advances.
Sources from the ITV talent competition claim that 27-year-old researcher Helen Banhoa was reduced to tears after being branded "unprofessional" by the Brazilian contestant, who had previously written her several unanswered love letters.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Carrilho's complaint was dismissed by show bosses, who assured Banhoa that she would remain on the programme and ordered the 54-year-old singer to leave her alone.
An insider told The Sun: "Wagner’s behaviour was out of order. Helen has never been anything other than professional.
"These claims left her upset and saddened that someone she thought a friend and colleague could turn on her so viciously and threaten her career because of his hurt pride.
"Fortunately, Wagner’s behaviour had been known about for some time. It’s the talk of the set, but after this latest incident it’s starting to cast a shadow over the show."
It was reported yesterday that Carrilho has been banned from getting too close to his backing dancers following claims that females on the show are uncomfortable with his flirtatious behaviour.
