X Factor bosses are reportedly furious with the amount it cost to film Dannii Minogue's Judges' Houses auditions.Minogue, who makes her return from maternity leave at the upcoming stage of the competition, filmed with her eight contestants in Australia recently.
According to The Sun, the new mother's request to film at home forced the other judges to cut back.
The budget was apparently blown as hosts Dermot O'Leary and Konnie Huq were flown out to the country along with the eight hopefuls and the show's crew for eight days.
"The Australian part of the show cost a fortune," an insider told the paper. "All the other trips have been two days long but they had to give the contestants and hosts in Australia time to recover from jet lag so it cost more."
The source claimed that Cheryl Cole, who filmed in a country house in England, "got a particularly raw deal".
"There were builders interrupting filming in her house," they added.
Louis Walsh reportedly had to cancel plans to film with Sharon Osbourne in Las Vegas and use a hotel in Ireland.
