Dancing On Ice contestant Bez has been eliminated from the show after ending up in the bottom two with Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor.

In tonight's (Sunday 20 February) show, after the skaters performed routines in accordance with the theme of 'Musicals Week', the public voted for musician Bez and his partner Angela Egan to compete against Sally and Matt Evers in the skate-off.

Following their final skate-off, the judges voted to save Sally, thus ending Bez's ice-skating journey.

Bez and Angela performed to 'Bat Out Of Hell' by Meat Loaf from the musical of the same name for their first routine and later performed to 'Step On' by Happy Mondays for their final skate of the show.

Their skate-off competitors Sally and Matt performed to 'My Favourite Things' from The Sound of Music for their musicals routine and 'We've Only Just Begun' by The Carpenters for their final skate.

The judges voted unanimously to save them, eliminating helmet-wearing Bez and his skate partner Angela from Dancing on Ice.

Guest judge Dame Arlene Phillips, who appeared on the panel this week to judge the skaters' musical routines, said: "I'm choosing to save [Sally and Matt] because she is the most beautiful actress and proved herself with her skating this week."

All remaining skaters will appear on next Sunday's (27 February) show to perform for 'Props Week', assuming no more injuries or positive COVID-19 tests.

Professional skater Vanessa Bauer, who is partnered with dancer Brendan Cole, was unable to perform tonight after testing positive for COVID-19.

Instead, Brendan was paired with professional Brendyn Hatfield – who was eliminated from the show alongside S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens two weeks ago – as a same-sex skating couple. Their Jersey Boys-inspired routine to the song 'Beggin'' by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, earned them an excellent score of 47, and they were awarded the first 10 of the series by Arlene Phillips.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
