Dancing On Ice contestant Liberty Poole has been eliminated from the show after ending up in the bottom two with Olympian Kye Whyte.

As the competition ramps up, we have to once again say goodbye to yet another celebrity: Love Island star Liberty.

In tonight's (Sunday 13 February) show, after routines dedicated to the skaters' 'favourite things', the public voted for Liberty and partner Joe to compete against Kye and his partner Tippy in the skate-off.

Following their final skate-off, the judges voted to save the latter, ending the former's journey on Dancing On Ice five weeks in. The remaining couples, as always, are safe until next week.

Kye and Tippy performed to 'Supermassive Black Hole' by Muse with video games being Kye's 'favourite thing' and later performed to 'Sanctify' by Years and Years for the final skate.

This is not the first time they have ended up in the bottom two, having been saved last week when they competed against S Club 7's Rachel Stevens and her partner Brendyn, who later went home.

Their skate-off competitors Liberty and Joe appeared in the skate-off for the first time, performing to 'Stronger' by Britney Spears following their 'favourite things' routine.

The judges felt that Kye and Tippy performed better, but voting was very split as all the judges said that it was "very close" and a difficult decision for them to make.

Head Judge Christopher Dean ultimately voted for Kye and Tippy to stay, breaking the tiebreak and sending Liberty home.

Jayne Torvill, who also voted for Kye, said: "Both performances were great... it's so close."

Recently, the lovely Bez, who is a bit of an unfortunate skater, said he felt "awful" over his fellow contestants leaving the show.

This comes after Jackie Smith Foden, wife of the first celebrity eliminated Ben Foden, slammed the series for keeping the "worst skater" in and eliminating better ones.

The contestants will be performing their best musical-inspired routines for Musicals Weeks next Sunday (20 February), and they will have to impress both the ice panel as well as guest judge Arlene Phillips.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
