Grand Designs is set to feature a Nuneaton restoration project on its show this week.

The new series of the popular Channel 4 programmed this Wednesday night (October 6) will include a section on the work to restore Astley Castle.

The South Lakeland episode looks at how a young Cumbrian couple took on a crumbling, structurally unsound 200-year-old former Blacking Mill.

The former Blacking Mill was a scheduled ancient monument by Historic England.

During the show, it features a segment on Astley Castle - which underwent a huge transformation.

During the segment it will feature images of the wreckage of the fire taken by local photographer Brian Wood.

As a result of the works, it was the winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize for Architecture 2013.

The latest episode of the new series of the show, which is presented by Kevin McCloud, will be aired on Wednesday night.

You can watch it at 9pm.
