The Masked Dancer UK has crowned its very first winner, as Carwash was revealed as the victorious masked contestant.
Carwash beat Squirrel, Zip and Scarecrow to the top spot in the ITV reality show's grand final tonight (Saturday, June 5) after impressing with their performances to LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem' and a medley of Grease songs.
Of course, not only was Carwash named the winner of the show but they also had to take their turn at being unmasked: the victorious dancer was revealed to be none other than Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.
Davina McCall was the only member of the panel to correctly guess Carwash's identity, while Mo Gilligan came close by guessing that they were fellow gymnast Max Whitlock.
Holly Willoughby reckoned that Carwash had been JLS singer Aston Merrygold, while Oti Mabuse opted for former The One Show presenter Matt Baker and Jonathan Ross thought that they were famous fitness instructor Mr Motivator.
Clues to Louis' identity had included some silver and bronze ties to represent competition medals won by the gymnast, while he also told a joke about a horse, referencing the pommel horse gymnastic equipment.
"It's been the most bonkers show I've ever done but the most enjoyable thing," Louis said after his victory. "It's been madness."
He added that he had been keen to take part in the show because he wanted to "have a bit of fun for myself and put smiles on other people's faces" after a difficult year.
Earlier in the evening, Scarecrow was the first of the four finalists to be eliminated from the competition and they were soon unmasked as former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite.
Zip came in third place and was revealed to be Take That singer Howard Donald, while second place finalist Squirrel was unmasked as actress and singer Bonnie Langford.
