A Bedworth man won big on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Kully was one of six chosen to take part in the 'Read My Lips' competition in the primetime TV show tonight (March 20).

His number - three - was the third to be called and he erupted with joy, punching the air.

Comic Romesh Ranganathan, who was wearing headphones, had to guess the words that he was saying - each one winning a prize.

He has 30 seconds to get the comic to decipher the three holiday locations he said - all by reading his lips only.

The Rob Vs Romesh star guessed all three said by Kully - which means he won a coveted 'Takeaway Gettway'.

Ranganathan said it was 'the best night' of his life. It means Kully can now go on an all inclusive, seven-night holiday of his choice.

The Bedworth resident is not the borough's first link to Saturday Night Takeaway.

Back in February last year, prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the TV show came to the Bermuda area of Nuneaton.

Presenter Andi Peters, known as the 'King of the Competitions', was live in Bermuda village during the public give-away part of the popular TV show.

Also, in March 2018, Nuneaton man Callum Bailey went down on one knee on the ITV show to ask his girlfriend Jenna to marry him.

It came after Callum, Jason Malloy and ex Nuneaton Boro FA Cup legend Gez Murphy competed on the show on its first ever Run for Your Wife.
