Who took home the coveted Glitterball trophy?

Strictly Come Dancing has tried to keep its 2020 series as normal as possible – and it has just about managed it, with a few twists along the way.

However, we made it to the final with the viewers' four favourite celebrities and their professional partners – Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse, HRVY and Janette Manrara, Maisie Smith and Gorka Márquez, and Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer.

After all the fake tan and sequins were applied, and all the dances were danced, it was the very deserving Bill and Oti who got to take home that coveted Glitterball trophy.

During the finale, the finalists had to perform three dances – Judges' Choice, Showdance, and Couple's Choice, and here's how the finalists did on the night.

Bill and Oti's Judges Choice Quickstep earned them 29 points, their Showdance was awarded a perfect score of 30 and their Street dance was given 29 points.

HRVY and Janette performed their Jive as Judges' Choice and got a very respectable score of 29, their Showdance earned them 29 points and their own favourite routine, the American Smooth, gave them a perfect score of 30.

Jamie and Karen's Judges' Choice was the Hercules Charleston, which earned him 26 points, their Showdance got him 29 points, and their favourite Street routine earned them 29 points.

Maisie and Gorka were awarded 29 points for their Judges' Choice Samba, a perfect score for their Showdance, and their Quickstep earned them 29 points.

The show was an upbeat and at times quite emotional due to the impact of additional lockdown measures announced to the UK before the final aired.

It saw Bill give a powerful message after his incredible Showdance calling it an "anthem about not giving up", which was quite fitting on the night.
