Late entrant Laura has walked out the Big Brother house after less than a week on the show.

The 20-year-old sales assistant from Stratford-Upon-Avon exited without telling her housemates after spending a number of days pondering her position in the house.

She was selected to enter the show last Friday, when the housemates were given the option of choosing three new contestants from a group of six. After making the decision, Josie expressed annoyance at Laura's selection, prompting the Elstree crowd to boo her as she entered the house.

Laura expressed fears during her stint in the house about the crowd's reaction to her entrance.

Last Sunday, she revealed to Jo that she was feeling "overwhelmed" by the Big Brother experience and on Tuesday revealed that she was contemplating leaving. She put in a request to leave the show late on Tuesday, but was talked out of going through with it.

After talking to Ben, Corin, Dave and Josie yesterday, Laura vowed not to request to leave again.

Channel 4 has confirmed that walker Laura will be replaced by a new housemate.

Following the 20-year-old sales assistant's departure early this morning, there has been speculation online that another late entrant may join the show on Friday.

Confirming reports, the official BB Twitter account said: "So it's goodbye to Laura but we can reveal she'll be replaced by a new housemate in the future."
