James Jordan is the champion of Dancing on Ice 2019.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional beat his fellow finalists The X Factor runner-up Saara Alto and Love Island star Wes Nelson to take this year's title, alongside his skating partner Alexandra Schauman.

"I can't believe it," he said. "I couldn't have given any more and the only reason I had to give so much was because [of Wes]."

Over two million votes were cast in the final.

James' Dancing on Ice journey was dampened by claims his dancing background gave him an unfair advantage on the ice. He also suffered injuries including a ripped hernia and a fresh shoulder injury, which he battled with throughout the final.

And, despite coming in last place on the ice panel judges' non-scored leaderboard during the final, he stormed to victory.

While James was the victor, Gemma Collins did make her anticipated return to Dancing on Ice just days after reigniting her feud with ice panel judge, Jason Gardiner.

But the stars of the show were clearly James and Alexandra.

Congratulations, guys!

Dancing on Ice airs on ITV.
