Dancing on Ice has added to its growing list of injured contestants, and this one looked particularly nasty.

Max Evans and partner Ale Izquierdo were practising their routine ahead of tomorrow night's (January 28) live show, when Ale fell during a lift.

Pictures show the professional skater falling out of Max's arms and hitting her head on the ice, before a paramedic checks her over.

ITV have confirmed that she was taken to hospital as a precaution, but is now back home recovering, having been told to rest for 24 hours.

It all looked very scary, but hopefully she'll be well enough to compete with Max in tomorrow's show.

Let's hope these injuries don't put off anymore celebrities from competing as the show has been booked for another series.

"We can exclusively announce that it has been rebooked, recommissioned, rebought for another series next year," co-presenter Phillip Schofield announced live on This Morning last week.

"So we will be back next year."

Elsewhere, recent Dancing on Ice eliminee, Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has spoken of her confusion as to why she was eliminated following a skate-off with Lemar Obika, despite him tripping up.

Judge Ashley Banjo has argued that Lemar should exit the show if he finds himself in the bottom two again, saying that the singer has "been given enough chances".

Dancing on Ice continues Sunday (January 28) at 6pm on ITV.
