Gymnast group Spelbound and dancer Tobias Mead have become the first acts to be voted through to Saturday's Britain's Got Talent final.
Spelbound won the public vote with their acrobatic and "dangerous" performance, which was given rave reviews from Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
Meanwhile, the judges voted unanimously to save Mead from leaving the competition at the expense of 14-year-old singer Olivia Archbold.
Holden branded Mead's performance as "brand new" and "innovative", which was echoed by her fellow panellists. All three judges also praised Archbold's vocals, insisting that she has a bright future ahead of her.
She said upon her departure: "It's been an absolutely amazing experience, and the people I've met have been incredible."
Britain's Got Talent continues tomorrow for the week's second semi-final from 7.30pm on ITV1.
