The BBC has confirmed it has axed Zoe Ball and Ashley Banjo's gameshow Can't Touch This after just one series

Can't Touch This first aired in September 2015 and was presented by Ball and Diversity star Ashley Banjo, with former Great British Bake Off host Perkins serving as narrator.

Following unimpressive ratings and even less impressive reviews, the series has now been axed after just ten episodes, reports The Sun.

No, not even a clip of a contestant losing their trousers was enough to save the programme.

Described as "mouse-trap for humans", Can't Touch This saw contestants race against each other on a giant assault course to bag prizes stashed in hard-to-reach places.

Produced by Stellify Media, the show was described as a cross between ITV's Ninja Warrior and a children's soft play area, with contestants falling on to foam mats, thus eliminating well-needed jeopardy from the series.

Fortunately for the production company, they have a new project to occupy their time as they will be overseeing the reboot series of Blind Date on Channel 5.

Last week, it was confirmed that Paul O'Grady would be stepping in to replace his late pal and original presenter Cilla Black, while speculation suggests that I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner Vicky Pattison will be involved with the show in some way.
