EastEnders star Tameka Empson is the second celebrity to leave
Movie Week proved to have a killer twist on Strictly Come Dancing as EastEnders star Tameka Empson became the second celebrity to leave.
Tameka and her professional partner Gorka Marquez found themselves in the dance off against Laura Whitmore and Giovanni Pernice, after the judges' scores were combined with the results of the viewers' votes.
And there was no repeat of last week's dance off drama tonight as the two couples both danced again to impress the judges. Tameka and Gorka performed their Tango to 'The Heat Is On' from Beverley Hills Cop, while Laura and Giovanni did their Salsa to Moulin Rouge's 'Rhythm of the Night'.
None of the judges could quite believe the two were in the dance off - neither could we, to be honest - but they had to make a decision for the first time this season.
Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Laura and Giovanni, with Darcey Bussell splitting the vote by going for Tameka and Gorka. Head judge Len Goodman had the deciding vote and chose to save Laura and Giovanni for their "more polished performance".
After her exit, Tameka said she enjoyed her time on the show "immensely" and praised Gorka. "I think he's a great asset to the show. And you have showed me so much passion, so much patience, motivation and I love you, I really do," she enthused.
"Thank you for being an amazing partner, for teaching me so many things in this new world for me. And thank you for being such an amazing person," added Gorka.
Tonight's result show also featured a performance from Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, who performed 'Somewhere' from West Side Story.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next weekend on Saturday, October 15 at 6.30pm and Sunday, October 16 at 7.15pm on BBC One. We're definitely going to miss having Tameka around though.
