The new series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! starts next Sunday on ITV – and that means a slew of celebrities will be touching down in Australia over the next few days.
A number of celebrity names have been touted around in the press, including Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison and Most Haunted presenter Yvette Fielding – but none of the lists included Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, who was first to arrive at Brisbane Airport on Sunday morning.
The 27-year-old touched down after a 13-hour flight from Los Angeles – where she had been holidaying with her Dancing On Ice partner Matt Evers – and Digital Spy was there to greet her.
On arrival, Jorgie told us: "This has all been very quick. I didn't know I was going to do the show until two days ago! I haven't been preparing my jungle body, I've been busy eating burgers.
"Why did I sign up for the jungle? I like challenges. I like doing the unexpected. I try not to do what everyone else is doing... I'm really excited, but I'm scared of spiders."
There are rumours that Jorgie signed up to the show to replace former Hollyoaks co-star Stephanie Davis, who pulled out of I'm a Celebrity due to a nut allergy. However, Jorgie declined to speak on the matter at the airport.
Last month, Jorgie appeared in Channel 4's Celebrity First Dates where she met a personal trainer named Craig. Despite the attraction, Jorgie insists they are not a couple.
"I'm kind of single at the moment," the soap star said. "Craig isn't on the scene any more. And I wouldn't consider a fumble in the jungle as I don't think my mum would be impressed!"
Fans of the blonde starlet will be happy to hear that she has packed a number of swimsuits for her stint in the reality show and its famous jungle shower.
Before heading off to her five-star hotel on the Australian Gold Coast, Jorgie giggled: "I am only allowed three bikinis – and they will get skimpier hopefully the more time I spend in the jungle!"
The 15th series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday, November 15 at 9pm on ITV.
