Holly Willoughby revealing dress complaints not investigated by Ofcom
Holly Willoughby's choice of dress for The Voice UK's final will not be investigated by Ofcom.
30 complaints were made to the broadcast regulator after the BBC talent show final aired, but the body didn't consider the "nudity" complaints worth following up.
The BBC issued its own apology for the outfit after it received 139 complaints from viewers directly.
"We're sorry if some viewers found Holly's dress to be unsuitable. Holly enjoys fashion and we felt the dress she wore for the live final of The Voice UK was glamorous and wholly appropriate for the occasion," a BBC rep said.
"We don't believe it would have gone against audience expectations for a TV spectacle such as this."
Willoughby's close friend and This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield defended her choice of outfit, claiming that the dress was "gorgeous".
"Let's hope those outraged on behalf of their kids don't take them to the beach this summer," said Schofield.
"God forbid they might see a woman in a bikini before 9pm and be traumatised by the sight of her cleavage!"
