Rebecca Slater has become the latest Apprentice candidate to be fired by Lord Sugar after failing to make a good impression in this week's corporate away day task.
The 35-year-old medical rep from Wigan was told by Sugar that he hadn't seen enough from her over the first six weeks of the competition to take her any further.
Slater found herself in the boardroom alongside Luisa Zissman and Francesca MacDuff-Varley, who were involved in a heated debate of their own in the final boardroom.
Delivering his final verdict, Sugar said that his "instinct" was persuading him to keep Zissman and despite declaring MacDuff-Varley's organisation of the task as project manager "a total disaster", opted to keep her as well.
"I do know what my instinct is telling me about you Rebecca. Rebecca, you're fired," he said.
Speaking to Digital Spy about her exit, Slater said: "I was really surprised. I should have stuck up for myself more and really spoke out more."
Defending her quiet approach in the boardroom, she added: "I'm the sort of person who waits for a natural pause in the conversation and then I'll chip in, and often there was no natural pause.
"But that isn't really seen as a good thing in the boardroom, I think being polite is almost viewed as a negative. It's tricky."
The Apprentice continues next Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.
