Emmerdale topped the soap ratings on Wednesday evening (March 28) as the Ashley and Sandy storyline continued, overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 6.07m (34.0%) at 7pm and 261k (1.3%) on +1 as Sandy was taken to hospital over his injured wrist.
Waterloo Road entertained 4.35m (20.3%) at 8pm on BBC One, while Nancy's baby ordeal in Hollyoaks was seen by 809k (5.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 142k (0.8%) on +1. E4's first look screening of Hollyoaks had 498k (2.8%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 534k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 817k (6.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 616k (4.3%) at 6pm and 419k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'The Promise' - mustered 1.21m (22.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
