Katrina Lyndon and Tom Shilcock have become the next contestants to leave So You Think You Can Dance.

The duo were forced to duke it out in a solo showdown against the partnership of Bethany Rose Harrison and Israel Donowa after viewers failed to warm to their earlier salsa and jazz routines.
Despite Lyndon giving an "effortless and elegant" individual performance and Shilcock shaking up proceedings with a tap display, substitute head judge Arlene Phillips revealed in her comments that herself, Louise Redknapp, Sisco Gomez and guest panelist John Barrowman had decided to send them home.
Addressing the girls first, she praised Lyndon by saying: "Week on week you have delighted us with the challenges you've taken on as a ballerina, [but] tonight wasn't your best night."
She then added to Harrison: "You had a slow start in this competition then suddenly you turned things around, but obviously the viewers don't necessarily feel the way we all feel."
After then confirming Lyndon's departure, Phillips wasted no time in calling the boys forward and quickly cutting Shilcock from the competition too.
Speaking to host Cat Deeley at the end of the episode, Lyndon described So You Think You Can Dance as having "changed [her] life", while Shilcock admitted to being "really upset" by his axe.
So You Think You Can Dance returns next Saturday at 5.45pm on BBC One, when the final eight will compete as individuals for the first time.
