Teenager Lloyd Daniels failed to reach the X Factor's semi-final after the public voted him off the ITV1 show.
The 16-year-old, from Treharris, south Wales, was described as "karaoke" by judge Louis Walsh but mentor Cheryl Cole said he had a bright future.
Daniels, who had performed Take That's A Million Love Songs and the Elton John classic I'm Still Standing, said: "I have enjoyed every moment."
Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson, Joe McElderry and Stacey Solomon made the final four.
The contestants began the show in colourful fashion with an impression of Scissor Sisters' I Don't Feel Like Dancin'.
And there were performance by Rihanna and Alicia Keys.
Meanwhile, McElderry has emerged as a favourite after he impressed the judges with Could It Be Magic and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
Simon Cowell said his first performance was "impressive" because he looked like he was "really in control" throughout, while Cole hailed the performance as "flawless".
And, after his second song, Cowell said he was "absolutely gobsmacked".
