Strictly: Watch Jay romance Aliona in a beautiful Rumba

Strictly Come Dancing star Jay McGuiness ​did something almost impossible for a male celebrity on Strictly: impressed all the judges with a Rumba.

​Jay and his partner Aliona Vilan​i stunned with a romantic performance to 'Falling Slowly' from the musical Once.

​Darcey was left almost speechless by the performance and praised the romance element, which is always difficult to pull off without making it look awkward.

Len - who always has something to say about this particular dance - loved it: "The Rumba is a hard dance, especially for the men, but you got it right. It was fantastic."

"That was a pitch-perfect interpretation of the theme," Bruno said. "It was irresistibly romantic, touching, emotionally involving and you did the wonderful things that we always ask of our dancers."

The comments were reflected in the scores, with Craig awarding them a 9 and the others giving the couple 10s. They topped the leaderboard with a massive score of 39.
