Pixie Lott and her professional partner Trent Whiddon have become the tenth couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The pair found themselves in the dance-off against Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff, after the judges' overall scores from last night's (December 6) show were combined with the viewers' votes.
Webbe and Rihanoff performed their American Smooth to Michael Bublé's 'Heartache Tonight', before Lott and Whiddon did the cha-cha to the Glee version of 'Love Shack'.
Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli voted to save Lott and Whiddon, but Darcey Bussell wanted to keep Webbe and Rihanoff in the competition, meaning head judge Len Goodman had the deciding vote.
Goodman eventually sent Lott and Whiddon home, explaining: "I have to judge this on this one dance that I have seen - not what has been in the past [or] what my expectations are in the future."
After her elimination, Lott stated she had "the best time ever" on the show before praising her partner Whiddon.
"I am sad that I won't get to learn the salsa and the American Smooth next week," she said. "I have honestly loved this experience so much, and I am so pleased that I decided to do it.
"I couldn't have asked for a better dance partner - honestly. Trent, you have been amazing. I have learnt so much, and I am so grateful for it."
Whiddon then said: "I couldn't have asked for a better partner, someone who is a super talent and so hard-working - the nicest, sweetest, most genuine person you could ever meet.
"I have had such a fantastic time. She is so fantastic and deserves all the success in the world. I wish her all the very best."
The results show also featured a performance by OneRepublic.
Strictly Come Dancing airs next weekend on Saturday, December 13 at 6.50pm and Sunday, December 14 at 7.20pm on BBC One.
