Hammond and Skorjanec found themselves in the dance-off alongside TV presenter Caroline Flack and her partner Pasha Kovalev.

The couples came bottom after their scores from the judges on Saturday (November 8) were combined with viewer votes.

Both reprised their routines, with Flack and Kovalev dancing their waltz to 'Three Times a Lady' by The Commodores, which scored 31 points last night.

Hammond and Skorjanec performed their Charleston to 'Friend Like Me' by Robin Williams, which originally won them 27 points from the panel.

Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all voted to save Flack and Kovalev, before head judge Len Goodman said he agreed with his fellow judges.

Speaking after her elimination, Hammond praised Flack and Kovalev, wishing them the best for the rest of the series.

"Caroline smashed it tonight," she said. "I want her to go on and get to the final.

"I've had the best time ever, and I am still going to Blackpool and I don't care what anyone says!

"I'd say to anyone who is thinking about doing this show to just go for it and do it. I don't care what colour you are or what size you are, I've loved it."

Hammond then praised Skorjanec, saying: "Thank you for being so patient and so kind. You have been amazing. I really genuinely from the bottom of my heart love you as a friend."

Skorjanec responded: "I am extremely proud. I can't describe really how much fun and laughter we had from the very first day, and I am definitely going to miss that.

"I am going to miss you a lot, and this definitely won't be our last dance."

Sunday's results show also featured a performance from Katherine Jenkins, who sang 'We'll Gather Lilacs' to mark Remembrance Day. Her performance was accompanied by a dance from Kovalev and Ola Jordan.

Strictly Come Dancing will broadcast its annual Blackpool Tower show next Saturday (November 15) at 7pm on BBC One.
